(ENGLISH / DEUTSCH) Yesterday we arrived in Berlin and the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week starts today. Five interesting, but busy days are ahead. I’m not really talented when it comes to being organized. But to make sure I’ve […]

Just another reason for being excited for summer to come – the new Buffalo spring / summer 2015 collection has arrived! And I think it couldn’t be more versatile! Pastel, metallic, glitter, sneakers, wedges, heels – if there isn’t a fitting shoe for every situation then I don’t know. My first treasure are the Buffalo plateau wedges in 90ies style, I already showed you in the look „It’s time for neoprene, baby!“.

Actually, I’m fed up with winter since a couple of weeks. Actually, it could be summer already. Actually. But when having a look at my new new Lieb Ju bag and the matching shoe cuffs, I appreciate winter again – at least when it comes to fashion. And so I caught myself thinking: „Luckily it’s still cold enough to wear faux fur and cozy fabrics.“.

I know, I know, the word „Giveaway“ makes everybody prick up their ears. But that’s how it should be! Because today I haven’t got only a (really cool) giveaway for you, but we also have a reason to celebrate: the label Neat to., based in Hamburg, opened their online shop yesterday and has a lot of beautiful and affordable lifestyle accessories in stock.
„Fascinated by the cultures of South Asia and South Africa, inspired by the Hippie markets of Ibiza and driven by passion for fashion…”

Brr… do you also think it’s too cold outside at the moment? No matter how warm I’m dressed, I start to shiver, when I’m outside for more than twenty minutes. (I wonder what the Eskimos do?) But maybe it’s because of my false expectations. I’m sitting in my warm kitchen, drinking a hot coffee, I look out of my window, the sun is shining. Conclusion: No indication of coldness. My mind pipes up: „Girl, it’s no more than end of January. It’s cold, for sure!“ Okay, I’ll dress warm, but hopefully I’m not going to sweat. For the first five minutes, I think: „Thank you so much, stupid brain, it’s not cold at all. Now I’m standing here like an idiot wearing my winter coat, winter boots, a scarf and a beanie.“ But twenty minutes later, I kind of go: „Oh, no, come on, brain! What’s wrong with you? Why didn’t you remind me of taking gloves with me? Or ski underclothing? And in general: Why do you call this sheer fabric my „winter coat“? How did I survive last winter?“

Ho Ho Ho… Santa already stepped by. And what did I get? New sunnies by London Retro*. Although it’s not really sunny at the moment, I think sunnies are always a good idea and also make a good Christmas present. I must confess, I’m still hoping for white Christmas. And when the sun would also shine and we could happily tramp around on a sunny winter day – it would be a great end-of-year! But even if this year won’t bring us some more sunny days – it’s only 192 days left until beginning of summer.

Winter is coming and with it the time of a year, where we cannot imagine anything better than making ourselves comfortable with a cup of coffee or tea. And if we take ourselves outside, we dress as warmly as possible and tramp clumsy, but happy through winter. Until lately, my idea of a perfect winter evening looked like this: I’m sitting at the fireside, wearing a huge sweater and cozy fluffy socks. I’m holding a huge cup of latte in my hands and there’s standing a plate full of spiced cookies in front of me. I really like the idea of a fireside and although I cannot imagine I’ve ever sat in front of one, I hold onto this idea. But one thing has changed about my idea: instead of a huge sweater, I’m now wearing my new OnePiece jumpsuit. It’s kind of a jumpsuit upgrade.

Shoes and chocolate. Do you think it’s only a cliche, that women especially love these two things? When I asked my friend Lena some days ago, if she likes me to bring along some chocolate from the industrial selling of Lindt, she answered: „No, thanks, I’m more like the chips type.“ Lack of understanding. Huh? No chocolate? I can’t believe it. But as we all know, exceptions prove the rule. And so everyone else that I asked, if I should bring along chocolate, responded with euphoric „Yeeees!“ messages. When it comes to shoes, I guess it’s more obvious. Or how would you explain the many „This pair, or this pair?“ shoe-shopping-pictures I receive from my friends monthly? And who would have thought: leader of shoe-shopping-pictures is Chips-Lena! Although we’ve taken to refuse confirming cliches, I have to admit: I’m in love with shoes and chocolate! Badly!

“Dum dum dee dudedum da,dum dum de de dudedum ah… 365 days of the year running round, running round and going nowhere.“ This song came to my mind while I was running after my new pairs of Birkenstock a couple of days ago. Correct, I’m now owner of two Birkenstock pairs, that I was free to choose from the Peter Hahn online store (thank you so much). And now, I would love to wear them 365 days of the year. Why? Because they’re so super comfortable.

„I didn’t say anything – but my shirt did.“ When I saw this shirt at Zara a couple of days ago, I noticed again how attracted I feel to labeled shirts. Of course, I need to be able to identify myself with the sayings. I’m not sure why I felt attracted by the word „loser“, but I needed to buy it, because I also like it’s wide cropped shape.
