(English / Deutsch) Besides my big passion for denim, there’s also another big passion: my passion for high quality leather pieces. Weather it’s about shoes, jackets, bags or pants – as soon as I’m fallen […]
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen this look a couple of days ago. Actually, I wore this look for the last day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin, but because it’s one of my absolute favorites, I decided to show you today in detail. (That means there are a lot more MBFWB looks I’m going to show you soon.) For the most part, this look arose in collaboration with one of my favorite online premium fashion shops – myClassico. By the way, here’s a great post on their blog. Only the Michael Kors shoes come from my favorite shoe online shop Görtz.

I’ve got my leather pants on! Again. Again and again. At least until it’s getting too warm to wear them. But even if it’s midsummer, I would still consider to take my leather pants out on breezy summer nights. And if it’s way too warm, it’s not the end for leather pieces. We can easily switch to suede mini skirts, that are supposed to be a huge spring / summer trend this year. (You can have another look at my favorite spring / summer 2015 trends here.)
Some weeks ago I wrote about my six favorite spring / summer 2015 trends – and while I was searching for pieces that match the „Modern Safari“ trend, my wide linen pants, that I bought more than a year ago and didn’t wear once, came to my mind. Luckily they survived the dreary year inside of my closet. Because normally, when it comes to separating out and selling my clothes, my first rule is: „When you didn’t wear it throughout a year, you’ll never wear it again.“
Welcome to 2015! And welcome to the Matrix! At least when we’re talking about the current leather trend! While leather pants have been more like the last try for years, they now have become the latest craze. And so they made it to an absolute must-have, like their older sisters, the leather jackets, did before. I already showed you my current favorite faux leather pants here, but the fashion industry has a lot more great leather pants to offer!
Day 14 in 2015. Coffee and chia pudding. I’m all set. A look at my to-do-list tells: there are just two things done out of more than twenty. And one of these two things is only done for the moment. Because, to be honest, „do the laundry“ disappears at least for 48 hours. I have no idea why it’s always like that, but if my hair from now on would grow as fast as my pile of washing does, I would turn into Rapunzel the day after tomorrow. And if I would be Rapunzel soon, I would be sitting in a tower and probably wouldn’t have any to-do-list (and any laundry problem either). But this idea causes a problem – where should I get a tower from that quickly? The only tower that comes to my mind is Colognes TV tower. And I guess I would have to pay a rack rent. I wonder if Rapunzel needed to pay a rent? Hopefully she had a Tangle Teezer to comb all of her hair. How high was her tower? I guess not as high as mine. Question is, if my prince will be able to save me. And do I really want to get rescued? It’s pretty cozy here with my OnePiece onesie. „Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!“ „Splat!“ it goes and my pile of (laundry) hair hits the ground. Luckily, I’m wearing a Papanga, so I don’t get flung out of the window. My prince is carefully prepared – after drinking a green smoothie, he easily climbs up to my window. Beaming with joy he opens his hip bag and presents me with joy (… drum roll …) my to-do-list! „You forgot it at home!“, he says.
„My heart is beating like a jungle drum.“ There are so many different pattern – checked, striped, dotted, floral pattern, snake pattern, tiger pattern… But none of them divides the minds the way the leopard pattern does. And none of them makes so many women hearts leap for joy. Either you love it or you hate it. There’s nothing in between. But there’s a fine line between top and flop.
I guess they would have laughed badly about me. So, I actually do wear flats and I fall down anyway. Yes, I tumbled. And yes, I guess it looked funny. My parents, who aren’t Charlie Chaplin and Mary Poppins, but are at least as cool as, surely would have laughed as well. Not that I fall down all the time, but if I do, I kind of act a little strange: 1. get up quickly, 2. look right and left, if anybody saw it, 3. shortly check, if anything hurts, 4. laugh, 5. get away from here. Of course, nothing did hurt, so I was able to laugh about myself. Well, that’s how it is. I’m one of the people, who like to run into objects, drop things and drop oneself.
