(ENGLISH / DEUTSCH)
This year fringes are the must-have! Whether we’re talking about shoes, bags, necklaces, jackets, vests, shirts or skirts – everything that comes with fringes is up to date! And how do we like that? Well, I don’t know how you like it, but I think it’s great. I already showed you a fringed vest in the look „Double Denim meets 70ies“ and a fringed shirt in the look „This is summer“. And for todays look I picked up a very special fringed piece: a fringed suede cape.
I think I don’t have to tell again, that I’m totally in love with the current Hippie / Bohemian trend. But it doesn’t have to be „hippie“ from head to toe all the time – sometimes it’s enough to add a key piece to give some bohemian vibe to the look. Am I talking about my new skinny jeans? Of course not. I’m talking about my new printed blouse. Love at first sight.
Just another reason for being excited for summer to come – the new Buffalo spring / summer 2015 collection has arrived! And I think it couldn’t be more versatile! Pastel, metallic, glitter, sneakers, wedges, heels – if there isn’t a fitting shoe for every situation then I don’t know. My first treasure are the Buffalo plateau wedges in 90ies style, I already showed you in the look „It’s time for neoprene, baby!“.

Because we haven’t got enough social media networks with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, you can now officially find me on Snapchat under the name „howimetmyoutfit“.
“…where dreams are made of, there’s nothing you can’t do. Now you’re in
New York Cologne.“ New York or Cologne – where’s the difference? Ok, although I’m badly in love with Cologne, I must confess that there might be a little difference between these two cities. Aside from the fact that Cologne (of course) is much more beautiful, New York may be a little more lively. But during the next days the gap is going to decrease. Why? Because it’s Cologne carnival! And that means streets will be crowded and there will be almost nothing you can’t do, or become – just like in New York!
Even if you didn’t make it to Berlin this week, didn’t sit in the front row and didn’t freeze five days at a time well dressed through winter, it probably has been no problem at all, to stay up to date about what’s going on in Berlin (Thanks to Instagram!). Yes, maybe I’m a little bit jealous, cause’ I haven’t found the time, to go to Berlin, but it also has been really nice, to sit at home, no-make up, just sweatpants and spy out what’s going on in Berlin. And there was a lot going on!
Ho Ho Ho… Santa already stepped by. And what did I get? New sunnies by London Retro*. Although it’s not really sunny at the moment, I think sunnies are always a good idea and also make a good Christmas present. I must confess, I’m still hoping for white Christmas. And when the sun would also shine and we could happily tramp around on a sunny winter day – it would be a great end-of-year! But even if this year won’t bring us some more sunny days – it’s only 192 days left until beginning of summer.
Last monday our Blogger Fashionweek started into a new round. This weeks topic: “Sweet November“! On monday Sarah and Mona from Belle Mélange showed you two sweet and dreamy fall looks and had some make-up tips for you. On tuesday Miriam from Goldencherry showed us a casual fall look and a sugar-sweet recipe for caramel cupcakes. Tamina from fashionjudy had a beautiful pastel look and lots of great ideas for a DIY advent calendar for us on wednesday. If you’re still looking for the right beauty products for colder days, you should visit Laura from diamondsandcandyfloss. She also has a beautiful „Sweet November“ look for you! Yesterday Camilla from blondhairpinkheart showed us a cute and cozy fall look and her current favorite cozy sweaters. Tomorrow you should definitely check out the look by Vreeni from freakinyou.
The fabulous Coco Chanels once said: „A woman with good shoes is never ugly.“ Legendary Dolly Parton told us: „When I feel a little low, I put on my favorite high heels to stand a little taller.“ Victoria Beckham „can’t concentrate in flats“ and Marilyn Monroe once said: „Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world.“ Women talk about shoes for hundreds of years and I guess there’s no other piece of clothing that seems to be more magical and fascinating. And so you can imagine that I was exceptionally happy about the invitation to the Buffalo Blogger Event in Cologne.
„In love with… CAPES“ and „In love with… OVERKNEES“ follows today „In love with… WOOL COATS“. There was a time in my life, I refused to wear coats and winter jackets. I decided to wear three sweaters underneath my summer jackets and freeze unmovable through winter. I really can’t tell why. But if that wouldn’t have been enough – I had the same „problem“ with boots once, maybe it has been at the same time. „Who’s this crazy girl wearing a denim jacket and ballerinas in winter?“ That was me. But luckily these days are over and I’m in love with coats and boots since years. At the top of my „although I already got one, I need to buy some more-list“ currently stands a wool coat.

„Are you a boy or a girl?“ he asks me. „A girl!!“ I answer disgustedly. This happened some years ago at a festival. It was dark and rainy. I was wearing wide jeans, sneakers and a rain jacket. The hood covered my unmade-up face. When I think about it today I understand that it wasn’t clear if I’m a girl or a boy. But at that time I brood about it for a while – am I only clearly recognizable as a girl, when I’m wearing typical girls clothes!?
The usual New Year’s Eve madness. There are almost 365 days in a year that we think about our outfit of the day, but it seems as if there’s no look that is more important and more well-considered than our New Year’s Eve look. While one of my friends decided some years ago to go to bed at 11 pm on each and every December 31 to keep herself from week-long planning and preparing, everybody else asks themselves two questions: What am I going to do? And what am I going to wear? The time lapse, when people start to plan their New Year’s Eve is long – I’ve got friends, who already ask me what we’re going to do in September (!!), but I’ve also got friends, who only right after Christmas happen to notice New Year’s Eve is coming. But sooner or later almost everyone gets grabbed by New Year’s Eve madness.
