(English / Deutsch) Besides my big passion for denim, there’s also another big passion: my passion for high quality leather pieces. Weather it’s about shoes, jackets, bags or pants – as soon as I’m fallen […]
Slowly, but surely summer seems to be over and fall has finally arrived. And like each and every year I await fall with mixed feelings. On the one hand, I’m a little sad that it’s going to be colder and colder outside, but on the other hand I’m looking forward to the “leatherjackets, cozy sweaters and booties“- time of the year.
Cool jeans, my favorite shoes, my favorite shirt and my new cozy sweater by Mrs. Foxworthy – welcome to my comfort zone! Although I really like fancy clothing, casual looks are the ones I feel the most comfortable with.
Short story: „Why Black & White is always right!“ Giant pandas show us how to do and we copy it. When I think about looks that you can’t go wrong with, there are exactly three combinations that come to my mind: 1. the classical #allblackeverything look, 2. blue jeans and white shirts and 3. black & white looks. But why? I think it’s because black and white virtually suit everybody. Maybe the giant panda better than the cow, but nobody really looks weird when wearing black and white. At least I have never ever thought: „Oh dear, I’m so sorry, but black isn’t your color!“
Day 14 in 2015. Coffee and chia pudding. I’m all set. A look at my to-do-list tells: there are just two things done out of more than twenty. And one of these two things is only done for the moment. Because, to be honest, „do the laundry“ disappears at least for 48 hours. I have no idea why it’s always like that, but if my hair from now on would grow as fast as my pile of washing does, I would turn into Rapunzel the day after tomorrow. And if I would be Rapunzel soon, I would be sitting in a tower and probably wouldn’t have any to-do-list (and any laundry problem either). But this idea causes a problem – where should I get a tower from that quickly? The only tower that comes to my mind is Colognes TV tower. And I guess I would have to pay a rack rent. I wonder if Rapunzel needed to pay a rent? Hopefully she had a Tangle Teezer to comb all of her hair. How high was her tower? I guess not as high as mine. Question is, if my prince will be able to save me. And do I really want to get rescued? It’s pretty cozy here with my OnePiece onesie. „Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!“ „Splat!“ it goes and my pile of (laundry) hair hits the ground. Luckily, I’m wearing a Papanga, so I don’t get flung out of the window. My prince is carefully prepared – after drinking a green smoothie, he easily climbs up to my window. Beaming with joy he opens his hip bag and presents me with joy (… drum roll …) my to-do-list! „You forgot it at home!“, he says.
„Are you a boy or a girl?“ he asks me. „A girl!!“ I answer disgustedly. This happened some years ago at a festival. It was dark and rainy. I was wearing wide jeans, sneakers and a rain jacket. The hood covered my unmade-up face. When I think about it today I understand that it wasn’t clear if I’m a girl or a boy. But at that time I brood about it for a while – am I only clearly recognizable as a girl, when I’m wearing typical girls clothes!?
As you may have read, our Blogger Fashionweek startet last Monday. Seven blogs, seven days, one topic. This week: „Cocooning“. During the last days my blogger colleagues from Belle Mélange, Goldencherry, Fashionjudy, Diamonds & Candyfloss and Blondhairpinkheart already showed you some beautiful fall looks. Today it’s my turn and tomorrow you’ll find the last but not least look on freak in you.
Yesterday, my friend Sarah (wo already took the last photos for my blog) and I shot two looks, that couldn’t be more different. You can see the first one in the pictures. Normally, I just dress how I feel to do – fashion as an expression of mood! But while we were shooting these two different looks I experienced once again, that you not only dress yourself depending on how you feel, but you also feel depending on how you’re dressed! So, fashion isn’t only an expression of our moods, it also effects on how we feel.
Inspired by the grey weather, I decided to go for a grey on grey look last weekend. For a long tome now, grey is one of my absolute favorite colors when it comes to clothes. Some years ago it has been so bad, that I imposed myself a „grey-ban“. But it didn’t last long and my wardrobe still is full of grey clothes that you can combine easily. I kind of think grey is my black. At least when it comes to sweaters and cardigans.

I guess everybody knows it: situations that make you feel uncomfortable and unconfident. The reasons can be very different. Situations that deal with our jobs, university or similar things, may make us feel unconfident, because we’re afraid that we might not be well-prepared or we might won’t be able to show what we’ve got. In personal matters we might fear people could dislike is. But this fear is absolute normal and manlike. Everybody knows it. Some may be able to deal better with this fear than others and some may be more talented to cover up their nervousness, but in the end we’re all the same.
Paris, the city of love, as they say. If you have been there before, I guess you can tell why. To me, Paris has a very special flair, that I can hardly describe and that I only experienced in Paris. When I think about Paris, I first think about having a cozy little breakfast on a little french balcony, with croissants, jam, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. I think about a cozy long walk through one of the beautiful parks and of crazy passionate shopping. The life in Paris seems to be lively and calm at the same time. And I think this is exactly the magic I feel. Although I’m currently not in Paris, I love to dream myself there – and of course I didn’t refuse to annoy Bene with (unconvincing) french accent while we did the photo shoot. Magnifique!
